Step 5: The old glue needs to be cleaned from the stub and, if possible, the socket. |

Step 6: Sandpaper and a chisel or screwdriver will help. |
|
|
Step 7: Dry fit the joint back together. It should fit snugly. If the joint doesn't fit firmly together, I normally use small pieces of wood to wedge it tight. Disassemble the joint, glue it back together and clamp it with a long bar clamp or a bungee cord. |
